Chess Competition 2026
Saturday 5 December 2026, 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm
A big event for young chess players, with kids taking part from all across Sydney.
Age groups. Children compete within their age group, for a fair and enjoyable afternoon.
4 matches for every player. Each child plays four matches during the event.
Scoring and ranking. Rankings are based on the number of wins: more wins, a higher rank within the age group.
A real tournament. Real opponents, live matches and instant results.
Along the way, children build strategic thinking, focus, patience, problem solving and confidence, and make new friends.
